Choosing a Park
Yala is the most visited for leopard sightings; Udawalawe is excellent for elephants; Wilpattu is spacious and quieter. Minneriya is famous for seasonal elephant gatherings.
Practical Advice
- Early morning and late afternoon drives give the best wildlife viewing.
- Wear neutral colors and avoid strong perfumes.
- Bring binoculars and a telephoto lens if you plan to photograph animals.
